Audio Comparer compares audio files in a music collection to identify duplicates. Its results help users review the matches and remove unwanted duplicate files.
An *.acr file contains the results of an Audio Comparer comparison. It is a result-data file rather than an audio file, and is intended for use with Audio Comparer on Microsoft Windows.
Open an acr file with Audio Comparer on Microsoft Windows. If the file is not associated with the program, start Audio Comparer and use its command for opening or loading a saved result.
An Audio Comparer result file is not an audio or document format, so it cannot usually be converted meaningfully to another format. To obtain new results, run the comparison again in Audio Comparer.

ACR files are associated with Payroll Software, an accounting and finance application for Microsoft Windows developed by Medlin Accounting. They contain accrual method adjustments and records of unpaid invoices.
The files are used as part of the application's working data and are intended to be handled by Medlin Payroll Software rather than by a general-purpose text or spreadsheet program. The format is specific to this Windows software.
Open an .acr file in the Windows installation of Medlin Payroll Software that uses it. Use the program's file-opening or data-management commands rather than trying to open the file in a text editor, because it contains application data.
