ASWS files are associated with the skin system of Avast Antivirus for Microsoft Windows. A skin file contains the resources and settings needed to apply a custom appearance to the program's user interface.
Skin support was discontinued in newer Avast Antivirus releases, so ASWS files are mainly associated with older versions of the software and are not generally used by current releases.
MIME type:
application/avast-asws
On Microsoft Windows, open an ASWS file with a compatible older version of Avast Antivirus that supports skins. Use the program's skin import or selection feature if available; the file is not intended to be opened as a regular document.
Current Avast Antivirus releases generally do not support ASWS skins.
ASWS files cannot usually be converted to another useful file format. They are software-specific skin packages rather than standalone images or documents, and there is no established general-purpose converter.
