Various data file
Date updated: September 28, 2026
The BLRB file extension is associated with Apple Extensions Manager, once part of earlier versions of Mac OS.
Apple Extensions Manager used BLRB files as supporting information files for its extension-management data. The format belongs to Apple's classic Mac OS software environment and is no longer used by current versions of macOS.
A BLRB file was normally handled internally by Apple Extensions Manager on a compatible classic Mac OS system. It was not generally intended to be opened as a standalone document.
Current versions of macOS do not provide native support for Apple Extensions Manager or its BLRB files.
There is no standard conversion or export process for BLRB files. If the file is needed for a legacy Mac OS installation, preserve it with the other Apple Extensions Manager files rather than converting it.
