Pscript reads a printer's PPD file and converts its contents to a binary format stored locally as a BPD file. The BPD file is regenerated every time the corresponding PPD file changes.
BPD files are support files generated and used by Pscript and other software that works with PostScript printers. They are not intended to be opened directly and generally cannot be opened in a text editor or a standalone application.
To inspect or edit the printer description, use the corresponding PPD file instead. Printer software normally recreates the BPD file automatically when needed.
There is no useful conversion for a BPD file. It is a generated binary form of a PPD file rather than an authoring format.
If the printer description must be edited or transferred, use the original PPD file. Pscript regenerates the BPD file from that PPD file every time it detects a change.
