SPSS chalkboard files are auxiliary files associated with SPSS statistical analysis software, now developed by IBM. The known file name is chalkboard.clo.
The exact purpose and contents of this file are not clearly documented. It does not appear to be a general-purpose statistical data or exchange format, but rather a supporting file used within an SPSS installation. SPSS Statistics is available for multiple platforms.
Open the .clo file with SPSS Statistics. This file type is usable in SPSS and is not intended to be opened with other software. It may be used automatically when stored in the appropriate SPSS folder.
There is no known useful conversion for an SPSS .clo file. Because its exact purpose is unclear and it is an auxiliary SPSS file rather than a documented exchange format, it should generally be left in its appropriate SPSS folder.
