File extension contact is mainly related and used in Windows Contacts, a contact manager included including since Windows Vista. It is implemented as a special folder and can be launched as wab.exe from Start.
CONTACT is an XML based format that contains individual contacts created in the service.
Each contact file contains data about single contact, such as names, address, phone number etc.
These files are typically saved in the C:\User\Users\Contacts folder.
Double clicking on a *.contact results in launching Windows Contacts and user can edit the contact.
The *.contact files can be converted to CSV or VCF format within the Windows Contacts service.
