It is not possible to convert .aae files to .png pictures, i.e. convert Apple Photos meta files to picture. That is because AAE format contains special metadata for an actual digital picture, it does not contain the image itself. Which means aae to png conversion is not possible.
Perhaps you can view the .aae file using a text editor and look for the file path to the actual image, but it should be typically located at the same folder as the .aae file.
