Programs used to perform the conversion from mp4 file to m3u8 format.
You cannot actually convert .mp4 file to a .m3u8 file, i.e. perform mp4 to m3u8 conversion. This is due the fact that the first one is a multimedia file, the other is but a playlist. You can however, generate a .m3u8 playlist that contains list of .mp4 audio files. Doable in most (if not every) media player.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
This conversion entry was verified by us and conversion from mp4 to m3u8 was flagged as wrong or not possible.
Usually this happens when the conversion would try to convert different types of data between each other, such as audio to image, or it can't be done because incompatibility between programs, caused by closed file formats, very limited support or by other problems.

MP4
An mp4 file extension is typically used for MPEG-4 multimedia files defined by ISO 14496-1 standard. Commonly used for video and movie files and supported by vast number of media players.
M3U8
Files with m3u8 extension are playlists saved in special M3U UTF-8 (Unicode) text playlist format. Playlists do not contain any multimedia content, just the list of songs or other multimedia files. Playable in almost every media player.
