Check out some options how pages files might be converted to xls format.
You cannot directly convert Pages documents (.pages) to Excel spreadsheet (.xls) files. At best, you can find some work around that will allow you to copy and paste certain texts to the spreadsheet, but this will require manual copy and post formatting by the user.
Some online conversions supposedly support pages to xls conversion, but what they do is that they just copy all the text and put it to one of the cells in the spreadsheet. That is not something most users would need.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.

PAGES
pages file extension is used for default document format of Pages, a word processor and page layout program from Apple. No other program can open the .pages files, but Pages is able to export its documents to some other formats, such as PDF or Microsoft Word's .docx.
Files with pages file extension can be also encountered as game data from games based on the id Tech 6 engine, for example the remake Doom video game.
XLS
Files with xls extension are best known as spreadsheets from Microsoft Excel. A spreadsheet is basically a grid of cells sorted in rows and columns. Each cell can contain text, numeric or formula data. Excel XLS spreadsheets can be opened in most other similar programs, such as OpenOffice.org Calc.
