DC plugin
File type: Plugin, addon file
A dcext file is a plugin file used by the DC program. It contains a plugin for extending the program's functionality.
File type category:
Plugin, addon file
Date updated: October 7, 2026
Record marked as obsolete and not updated for a long time.
The dcext file extension is associated with software called DC and identifies its plugin files.
The format is obsolete. DC and its plugin system are apparently discontinued, and the format no longer has active support from its developer or producer.
A dcext file is intended to be installed or loaded by the DC program rather than opened as a standalone document. Use the original DC installation, if available, and follow its plugin installation procedure.
Because the software is obsolete, a current program may not be able to open or use this file.
A dcext file is a program plugin, not a document format, so it normally cannot be converted to another file format. Preserve the file if it is needed by an existing DC installation.
