Street Fighter IV is an action fighting game developed and published by Capcom. Its Microsoft Windows release uses emz files to store game resources required by the game.
The files form part of the game's internal data rather than a user-editable save or media format. Street Fighter IV was also released for Xbox, PlayStation and other game consoles, but this file record concerns the Windows game files.
Street Fighter IV opens its emz files automatically when it needs them. On Windows, keep the file in its original game directory and start the game normally.
There is no general-purpose document or media program for opening this format. Game-specific modding tools may be able to inspect or extract some files, but changing or moving them can prevent the game from loading correctly.
An emz file cannot be meaningfully converted to a standard document, image, audio or video format. It contains resources for Street Fighter IV rather than independently usable content.
Game-specific modding tools may provide limited extraction or repacking for supported resources, but there is no general conversion process. A file should normally be left in its original format.
