ARC Digitized Raster Graphics file
File type: GIS, GPS navigation and map file
The .l01 file extension identifies a component of an ARC Digitized Raster Graphics (ADRG) dataset. It contains raster map image data.
Global Mapper can import ADRG files on Microsoft Windows.

ARC Digitized Raster Graphics is a raster format developed for the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), now succeeded by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). It was designed to store digitized map and chart imagery for use as a mapping background.
An .l01 file can form part of an ADRG dataset and contains raster image data used with the format's other dataset information. Global Mapper, a GIS application from Blue Marble Geographics for Microsoft Windows, supports importing this type of mapping data.
ADRG is an older, specialized raster distribution format. GIS users commonly import it into current software and export the imagery to a more widely supported raster format when necessary.
On Microsoft Windows, open the .l01 file in Global Mapper. If the ADRG data was supplied as a set of related files, keep those files together so Global Mapper can read the complete dataset.
Open the ADRG data in Global Mapper and use its raster export tools to save the imagery in a supported format such as GeoTIFF. Converting only the file extension does not convert the data.

The l01 file extension is used for disk images, that are compressed by the Expert Witness Compression Format used by ISOBuster software for Microsoft Windows operating system, which enables users to backup optical disks.
Use ISOBuster to open and extract L01 compressed image.
Probably can be exported to other formats.
