ClarisWorks was a productivity suite associated with Claris and later Apple. Its art library files provided collections of artwork for use with the suite's document and drawing features.
An LCLW file is a supporting library file rather than a typical user document. ClarisWorks uses the artwork in the library when it is available to the application.
ClarisWorks ran on Apple Macintosh systems, including versions of Mac OS and Mac OS X. It is now legacy software, so the LCLW format is no longer in common use.
Open an .lclw file with a compatible installation of ClarisWorks on an Apple Macintosh system. The file is intended to be used by ClarisWorks as an art library rather than opened as a regular document.
Current macOS versions may not run legacy ClarisWorks directly. An older compatible Mac or an appropriate emulated environment may therefore be required.
ClarisWorks can use the artwork from an LCLW library in a document. The document can then be saved or exported in a format supported by the application.
