File extension micro is most recently associated with infamous ransomware known as TeslaCrypt. In it's latest reincarnation this malicious software encrypts and locks users data and renames the extension to xxx, ttt and lately also micro.
It also leaves instructions and ransom demands in a special text file "HELP_RESTORE_FILES.txt" file found in affected folders.
This particular version of TeslaCrypt was discovered in January 2016.

There is no way how to convert affected the files, you first have to purge the virus from your system and then hope for some decoding tool to appear on internet.
