The mjp2 format contains timed sequences of images (motion sequences), which can also be combined with audio to overall presentation file. The MJ2 format is described in JPEG 2000 (PART 3) standard, which is also known as ISO/IEC 15444-3.
The .mjp2 files are basically JPEG2000 "movies" and are more common on Mac platform. MJ2 file extension is preferred for the Windows.
