The mxprj file extension seems to also be used for the default project type file in Maschine software from NI version 2.0. and probably also above. Used to save work in progress.
Previously, the program used MPRJ files for this purpose.
Apparently, you can work with these files only using Maschine.
Using latest version of Maschine you can import older *.mprj files and save them to this newer MXPRJ file type.
