The NDOTS file extension is related to Ribbons. The *.ndots files are ASCII files consisting of lists of filenames, one to a line. Each filename refers to a *.tri or *.dot for polygons (triangles only) and dots requiring normals respectively. These files provide groups of triangles or dots whose graphical attributes may be modified.
