Allplan Engineering is a CAD and building information modeling application developed by Nemetschek. The NDW file extension is associated with its native drawing format.
An NDW file can contain the 2D and 3D design data for an Allplan drawing. It is one of the standard CAD/BIM file formats used by Allplan and is intended for editing in that application rather than as a general-purpose exchange file.

Open an NDW file in Allplan Engineering on Microsoft Windows. Use Allplan's file-opening command and select the NDW file; the drawing can then be viewed and edited in the application.
As far as we know, NDW files can be opened and worked with only using Allplan.
Allplan can export or save drawing data to exchange formats such as DWG and DXF. These formats are more suitable for transferring the drawing to other CAD applications, although some Allplan-specific data or editing features may not be preserved.
