XD-Profile
XD-Profile and PD-Profile are freeware programs written for use with the Saitek X36/45 USB HOTAS and Saitek P8000 controllers respectively. These programs are for use with Dhauzimmer's X36 and P8K drivers for Windows. XD-Profile supports X36 driver version 2.104 and later. PD-Profile v1.02 supports P8K driver version 1.200beta and later. (For P8K drivers v1.000 to 1.100 you will need PD-Profile v1.01. Both PD-Profile v1.02 and v1.01 are available from the download site.) It was developed on the Windows XP platform but should work under any version of Windows that supports USB. The intent of XD-Profile and PD-Profile is to create an environment in which profiles for the Dhauzimmer drivers (.bpf files) can be created relatively easily, while minimally limiting the full capability.
XD-Profile and PD-Profile achieve this by functioning on a new text-based scripting language. The programs include a graphical interface (GUI) that is used primarily to generate text-based profiles. Translation of XD-Profile and PD-Profile files to .bpf files occur in a completely isolated section of code. The result is that if users are so inclined, they can manually edit the raw text-based profile and use XD-Profile/PD-Profile to translate their profiles to a .bpf file.
PD-Profile currently has the following features:
- Fully functional Windows graphical interface.
- A text-based scripting language using a set of keywords and a simple "lower-case = press", "upper-case = release" format.
- Full programming capability including: press and release command assignments, mode changes, Windows Hat, mouse buttons, DirectX buttons, command delays, and LED color control (Red, Green, Orange, and Off).
- "Drag and drop" or commandline support for both converting .pdp files to .bpf format, and for loading a profile to the P8K.
- Supports Dhauzimmer's P8K USB drivers version 1.200, with support for up to 4 (four) P8000 devices.
