What is rfm file? How to open rfm files?
File type specification:
The rfm file extension is used for a Rich music format defined by Beatnik. It is a wrapper for audio formats similar to WAV, AIFF, MP3 or other.
The purpose of the format is to encrypt the data and to store MIDI and sounds together. RMF is not much used at the moment, but it can gain importance from the fact that the reference implementation of the Java Media Framework and JavaSound can play RMF files.
This rfm file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.
This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.
