SubSeven is a Windows Trojan made up of at least two parts: a client and a server component. The attacker uses the client to connect to a computer on which the server component has been installed.
Once the server.exe component is installed on the victim's computer, the attacker can gain full access to it. An s7p file is associated with this malware and should not be opened or executed manually.
The s7p file extension is associated with legacy SubSeven malware rather than a current, general-purpose file format. The format is not intended for conversion or use with ordinary Windows applications.
Do not try to open or run an s7p file. Disconnecting the computer from networks and scanning the file with security software is safer than examining it manually.
On Microsoft Windows, use an up-to-date installation of Avast Antivirus, ESET Nod32 Antivirus, AVG Internet Security, Avira AntiVir Personal, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, or Norton Internet Security to scan the file. These programs may identify and remove the associated malware; they do not open the file as a normal document.
An s7p file cannot be sensibly converted to another format. It is associated with malicious software, not with user data or a document format.
Do not rename, extract, or convert the file in an attempt to make it safe. Have security software quarantine or remove it instead.
