Files with securedownload file extension could be found in the past as renamed files that were downloaded using Safari web browser.

The securedownload file extension was reported to have been once generated by Safari web browsers, when they were in some sort of conflict with Yahoo service.
Hence all downloaded files had their extension renamed to *.securedownload. Renaming the extension back generally fixed the problem.
There is no information available if the problem persists to these days, as last reported issue was around 2007.
