Arts & Letters technology was born on mainframes and migrated to the DOS platform in the 1980's. In general, software like Diagraph and Picture Perfect, both innovations from founder Fred Schoeller, delivered charting and vector based graphics products designed for business applications. Markets were soon discovered in the designer, desktop publishing and home market segments.

With the advent of the Windows operating system, Arts & Letters Graphic Editor was launched and offered tools for professionals in pre-press, print, silk screen, publishing, design, commercial art and fine art circles. It was also discovered by business and education professional and home users. Many market segment specific products were delivered based on the original code.

With a history that spans five decades, the current flagship product Arts & Letters EXPRESS 8.5 is based on original concepts but is a ground up rebuild of the original code and is optimized for both 32 bit and 64 bit Windows operating systems. We have preserved the ease-of use Arts& Letters is known for.
