Unreal Tournament 2003

Unreal Tournament is a First Person Shooter representing a fast paced extreme sport of the future, where you compete against other warriors to determine the best. It has the same feel of the original, but new graphics, effects, and game modes adds new flavor to the game. Choose from Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Domination 2.0, or Bombing Run. Adrenaline adds a new factor in the gameplay as you can execute special abilities like regeneration, speed, invisibility when you reach full Adrenaline by either collecting the pills or killing enemies. UT 2K3 can be played single player against bots, or multiplayer through LAN or the Internet.

You return to the planet Na Pali to track down yet another crashed starship. If you succeed this time around, you'll be granted a full pardon for your previous crimes. The old local gang and range of weapons are injected with 3 new species and several new pieces of hardware.

Unreal II: The Awakening is the sequel to the original Unreal. It takes place in the same fictional universe, but the main player character and locations are different than those found in the first game.

Set in the 24th century, you play John Dalton, a Marshal for the Terran Colonial Authority (TCA), patrolling the universe in your starship Atlantis. Political turmoil is the backdrop to various excursions in a wide variety of environments. The story is revealed through briefings, cutscenes, in-game dialogue, and the action contained in the missions themselves.

Missions take place in the dense jungle of a tropical planet, in the ancient ruins of an alien city, deep underground in a warren of tunnels, on the molten surface of a hellish volcanic world, in the bowels of an alien industrial facility, in the endless oceans of a water-bound world, and on board an enemy starship. There are 13 unique settings, each with its own distinct look and production design. The gameplay in Unreal II is mostly traditional run-'n-gun.

There always was a curse upon the Covenant family which killed them all either with a painful disease or drove them into madness. At the end of the 19th century the father of the current generation of Covenants reopens their old but abandoned mansion and thereby uncovers strange standing stones on an nearby island. Possessed by this discovery, he locked himself up in the library and wanted to uncover the meaning of those stones. Out of curiosity, in 1899 his three sons and two daughters stole a book about the stones out of his library, went to the island and conducted a dark and powerful ritual which marked the beginning of the end. During the following 20 years almost every member of the family either turned mad and killed themselves or died from something else.

Now it is the year 1923 and the very last member of the family, Jeremiah Covenant, lies on his deathbed with cancer in his body but he is not alone in his house. The spirits of his brothers and sisters haunt the house, strange events happen and evil creatures stroll through the mansion. In a final attempt to not only lift the family curse but also to put his fellow ancestors to rest, he calls upon Patrick Galloway. Patrick was part of his squad in the first great war and after a fierce battle against creatures, they had never seen before, he had specialised in abolishing such powers from the earth.

You take control over Patrick and walk around like in every other first person-shooter through the several locations of the game ranging from the mansion itself over other earthly locations to Oneiros and Eternal autumn, which are other plains of existence. On your way you uncover the mysteries of the family by reading books and papers which lie around the mansion or by talking to the few people still alive on the island.

Also reading might help you understand what is happening here, it won't help you survive against all the strange creatures that hide in the shadows and attack you without asking. It's also impossible to defeat the ancestral spirits without some serious firepower, so besides your trusty revolver, you'll also find several other weapons during the course of the game like Molotov cocktails, your lovely shotgun or a freeze gun shaped like a dragon head. Since you are fighting the paranormal, you also have access to several spells which allow you to see enemies before they see you, revive the dead or shoot Ectoplasm. Since you hold all your weapons in the left hand and you cast your spells with the right hand, it is possible to use both at any time.

Rune is a 3D action game in which you take the role of Ragnar the Viking, mightiest warrior of a byegone age. It uses the Unreal Tournament engine which also makes it one of the most beautiful straightforward hack-'n'-slash action games ever made. There is a full single player game as well as a multiplayer component in case you should get fed up of the AI.

Nearly everyone knows about Harry Potter, the little child wizard from the books by J.K. Rowling. In this action adventure game, you are Harry Potter and play through the story of the first book (and the movie), "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". You arrive at the Hogwarts School of Wizardry where you will learn how to cast spells, create potions and how to fly the broomstick. When you are ready, you'll have to find and retrieve the Sorcerer's Stone which is in danger - the "he-who-must-not-be named" wants it too.

Sometime during the 2050s, the world is a dangerous place as terrorists, drug czars, and outlaw states rule, using violence and subterfuge as tools in their push for global conquest. A deadly virus dubbed "gray death" is running rampant throughout the world and the only known cure is a chemical known as "Ambrosia" manufactured by the VersaLife corporation. However Ambrosia supplies are scarce and world governments, particularly the United States, carefully monitor and control who receives this cure. As protest against these events, French terrorist organization "Silhouette" bombs the historic symbol of friendship between French and American people, The Statue of Liberty. In response to this attack, the United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition (UNATCO) organization is formed. Building a headquarters underground at Liberty Island, it's mission is to attack terrorism and maintain peace around the world. JC Denton is a nano-enhanced agent who has been primed for UNATCO service. While JC's brother Paul is already an active agent, JC is beginning his first day of service when the National Secessionist Forces (NSF) suddenly raid a supply of Ambrosia at UNATCO headquarters.

UT was designed as an arena FPS, with head-to-head multiplayer deathmatches being the primary focus of the game. The game's single-player campaign is essentially a series of arena matches played with bots. For team matches, bots are again used to fill the roles of the player's teammates. Even on dedicated multiplayer servers, bots are sometimes used to pad out teams that are short on players.
