The vy4 file extension was used for one of Samsung's proprietary voice codecs. The format is associated with voice recordings made by some Samsung phones and recording devices.
A vy4 file contains audio encoded for use with the Samsung software or device that created it. It is uncommon and is not a standard interchange audio format, so modern media players may not recognize it.
Try opening the file on the Samsung phone or recording device that created it, using its recording or media application. Samsung software supplied with the device may also be required.
There is no known reliable general-purpose converter for vy4 recordings. If the original Samsung device or application can export or share the recording in a common audio format, use that option; otherwise, the file may not be practically convertible.
