The x_b file extension is probably best known for its use for one of the default file types in Parasolid 3D, a CAD application that provides core functionality that enables users to rapidly and robustly model the industry’s most complex products.
The x_b file contains saved Parasolid project including 3D data, geometry, color, topology etc. These files contains the same data as x_t files, but in binary format.
Primarily use Parasolid to open and work with *.x_b files. However, may CAD programs nowadays support Parasolid formats.
It should be fairly easy to find a program capable to export Parasolid files to other exchange or vendor specific file formats.
