What is WVE file and how to open WVE file
The default video editing project of Filmora is saved as .wve file. It is a small file (about couple of hundreds of kilobytes) stored as a simple text and formatted in XML file format. It contains references to multimedia sources (videos, audio data) as well as settings of transitions, filters, overlays, elements, split screens, audio, texts included in videos and more.

The key feature of the .wve file is that it doesn't contain any multimedia data, only the changes made by the user during editing!
Without the linked multimedia resources, alone .wve file is useless!
