The c00 file extension is associated with WinACE. Its one part of a multi-volume compressed ACE archive.
ACE is the native format of WinACE archiver. In WinACE you can split a huge archive to a few smaller files, which are called volumes.
WinACE uses this split file sequence for multi-volume archives:
- ace or exe (SFX) for first volume
- c01, c02, c03 ....etc. for any additional volumes
The ace file extension is used for the native format of WinACE archiver. WinAce is not just another archiving shell. With it's own powerful compression format ACE and built-in support for other popular compression types like ZIP, RAR and MS-CAB (to name a few), WinAce could actually become the only archiver you need.
In order to unpack the multi-volume ACE archive, you need to place ALL of the split parts in the same directory and start extraction of the first volume. The program will automatically use all of the parts to extract the content of the archive.
