AJP recordings made by JPEG2000 DVRs can be converted (or rather saved) as AVIs using the J2K PLAYER bundled together with the device. You can probably still find it on internet, but the main JPEG2000 website seems to be partially defunct, making ajp to avi conversion somewhat tricky to achieve.
