Check out some options how apk files might be converted to ipk format.
It does not seem to be possible to convert apk to ipk, which is mostly related to Android to WebOS app conversion. Both these platforms are fundamentally different and you won't find programs that would allow apk to ipk conversion. You have to check if the developer of your Android app also offers version for Palm WebOS.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
This conversion entry was verified by us and conversion from apk to ipk was flagged as wrong or not possible.
Usually this happens when the conversion would try to convert different types of data between each other, such as audio to image, or it can't be done because incompatibility between programs, caused by closed file formats, very limited support or by other problems.

An apk file extension is used for Google Android application packages for Android-based devices. apk files are renamed zip files used to install Android smartphone and tablet apps.

IPK
Files with the ipk file extension were mostly related to old Shana Informed Filler program. Seems like obsolete.
Files with ipk extension are used for the Palm WebOS. They include many data for internal purposes of the WebOS.
