Templates like the .asmdot files from Solidworks contain data that specify future designs with predefined parameters. As such, they may not contain any drawings or models at all, and hence you will be unable to convert them to DWG or any other CAD format.

Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.

This conversion entry was verified by us and conversion from asmdot to dwg was flagged as wrong or not possible.
Usually this happens when the conversion would try to convert different types of data between each other, such as audio to image, or it can't be done because incompatibility between programs, caused by closed file formats, very limited support or by other problems.

If you find entry that you feel is flagged as bad wrongly, please tell us in the discussion form below with as much as information as possible so we can fix it.

An asmdot file extension is related to the SolidWorks and used for its assembly template files.

A dwg file extension is used for common CAD file format, originally used by AutoCAD. A DWG is a proprietary format and can only be created in AutoCAD. Other CAD programs can usually import it, but not create its proprietary form. It's because of this, that DWGs are often exported to DXF interchange format, so they can be seamlessly used in other CAD programs.

A dwg file extension is related to the BravoDRAFT an old CAD tool. A dwg file stores CAD drawing. It is not compatible with AutoCAD DWG format.
