Audio files saved in the Apple Core Audio format (.caf) can be easily converted to other audio formats, including the common audio only .m4a files, the default file type of iTunes. CAF format is not supported on iTunes by default, which makes many users to look for caf to m4a conversion.
Unfortunately, CAF format is not commonly supported in standard multimedia converters and is typically used in apps for Mac (GarageBand, Soundtrack Pro, and Logic Studio), which are probably your best shot for export of this file. It all depends actually on the format of the audio track within the CAF container, most software do not have issues with AIFF or WAV tracks, but struggle with ALAC unless they own the proper encoding/decoding library.
Audacity is a viable option according to some sources, but it probably works with CAF files that contain AIFF tracks only.
