CorelDraw has dedicated function to export graphics (.cdr) as object to Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word (which uses .docx documents), however this most likely requires both of these programs to be installed on the same computer.
You can find this option under File ► Export for Office... function in CorelDraw and it will allow you to export your graphics and place it as object to MS Word document or any other supported MS Office format.
CDR
Files with cdr file extension are graphics files saved in a unique, proprietary format from CorelDRAW. It is used for artworks, rich documents, or even simple logos.
DOCX
Files with docx file extension are documents written and saved using Microsoft Word word processor edition 2007 or later. DOCX format replaced the previously used DOC format, moving from binary files to Open XML schema-based documents. They are supported in almost every modern word-processing tools.
