Older .comicdoc files from the first version of Comic Life are still supported in the latest version of the program and can be re-saved to the newer .cl2arc files. Probably no other program is capable of working with Comic Life file types, so the original program remains your only option for comicdoc to cl2arc conversion, or at least we do not know about any alternatives at the moment.
