Possible software with support for converting of crypt12 files to xml file format.
Some users are looking for a way to export chat history from WhatsApp archives (.crypt12) and save the output in XML format. To achieve this, you will have to first downgrade crypt12 package to the original crypt version, something described in crypt12 to crypt conversion entry.
A .crypt file can the be turned to SQLite or HTML version using WhatCrypt Tools and both formats are a viable source for XML conversion.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
