Software that can be used for conversion of crypt15 file type to crypt format.
It is unlikely that it is possible to convert modern WhatsApp encrypted archives (.crypt15) to the original (.crypt) file. While this workaround has been used for the previous .crypt12 files, it doesn't seem that recovery through 3rd party utilities do work this way anymore.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
This conversion entry was verified by us and conversion from crypt15 to crypt was flagged as wrong or not possible.
Usually this happens when the conversion would try to convert different types of data between each other, such as audio to image, or it can't be done because incompatibility between programs, caused by closed file formats, very limited support or by other problems.

Files with crypt15 extension can be found as encrypted chat history databases from latest version (year from 2022) of WhatsApp Messenger instant messaging client for Android.
CRYPT
Files with crypt extension are most likely best known as chat history backups made from WhatsApp messaging app.
Files with crypt file extension may also be found as encrypted and renamed archives affected by the "Scatter" ransomware.
