We have found 2 software records in our database eligible for .dwg to .c4d file format conversion.
DWG format is listed as one of the supported in CINEMA 4D, so dwg to c4d conversion in sense of using .dwg assets for CINEMA 4D projects is certainly possible. Such import of .dwg files probably requires knowledge of CINEMA 4D and is not "one click" conversion.
We have not found anything specific about it, so if you face particular issues or problems with such import or conversion, it would be best to contact and consult CINEMA 4D online community or support.

DWG
A dwg file extension is used for standard CAD file format, originally used by AutoCAD. A DWG is a proprietary format and can only be created in AutoCAD. Other CAD programs can usually import it but not create its proprietary form. Because of this, DWGs are often exported to DXF interchange format so that they can be seamlessly used in other CAD programs.
C4D
Files with c4d extension can be most often encountered as 3D model files created with professional 3D modeling software tool CINEMA 4D from MAXON.
