We have found one software suitable in our database for this conversion.
SolidWorks is the only program that makes eDrawing files (.edrw, .easm) out of CAD drawings. Other programs like AutoCAD, CATIA, Inventor need a special eDrawings Publisher plugin that allows them to export their CAD data to EDRW format, including dwg to edrw conversion.
eDrawings are like some sort of PDF format for CAD. Only meant for viewing and sharing, but not for editing. A special eDrawings viewer is used for opening the files, it can be download for free from SolidWorks website.
DWG
A dwg file extension is used for standard CAD file format, originally used by AutoCAD. A DWG is a proprietary format and can only be created in AutoCAD. Other CAD programs can usually import it but not create its proprietary form. Because of this, DWGs are often exported to DXF interchange format so that they can be seamlessly used in other CAD programs.
EDRW
Files with edrw extension are so called eDrawings, publish only exports of technical drawings or models prepared using SolidWorks 3D CAD/CAM software.
