It seems that two different dxf to dst conversion are possible and make sense. The first and nowadays probably more needed would be to make Tajima embroidery design (.dst) from a DXF graphics file (.dxf).

The other option seems to be generating of AutoCAD sheet sets (.dst) from DXF CAD designs, something that can be done only using AutoCAD itself.
