How to convert SolidWorks eDrawing assembly file to 3ds Max files.
It certainly won't be easy to convert SolidWorks eDrawings files (for example .easm) to 3ds Max format, considering eDrawings formats are meant for publishing / sharing and not for further editing. Your best option would be to obtain the original SolidWorks files and export these to 3ds. Otherwise direct easm to 3ds conversion is extremely unlikely.

Files with easm extension can be found as exported Solidworks CAD files using the eDrawing software. Used for preview and sharing purposes.
3DS
Files with 3ds file extension can be commonly found as 3D computer graphics created using 3D Studio Max software as well its successor product 3ds Max by Autodesk.
Files with 3ds extension are related to the ROM image format used by emulators of Nintendo 3DS portable game console.
