edx to doc conversion describes the interaction between Edraw Max diagramming software and Microsoft Word word processor, something that is natively supported by Edraw by the native File ► Export to.. function.
But other than that, you can use Edraw Max to export diagrams as pictures, and you can import these files as objects to Word documents manually. Both approaches have their own merits, especially if you also need to use the diagrams elsewhere.
In any case, you will require access to Edraw Max, as no other tool does that with .edx files.
