itc2 to jpg conversion seems to represents a recovery of cover images from iTunes cache files (.itc2). It appears that two versions of this format exist, one for JPEG and another for PNG format.

There really is no easy way how to convert itc2 to jpg, just several workaround that may or may not work depending upon in which version of iTunes your .itc2 file was generated.

Some of the most notable way is to open the .itc2 file using a HEX editor, search for JFIF string and delete anything before it. If your .itc2 file contains PNG picture instead, you will have to look for data.png string and delete anything before that. Save the file and rename the extension either to .jpg or .png depending on the content and that's it. Sadly, this seems to not always work perfectly.

A viable alternative would be to use some picture recovery tool that that may achieve the very same thing without the use of a HEX editor.

Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
