3D objects from a 3ds Max scene file (.max) may be possible exported and saved in plenty of available 3D model format, including ISO STEP product data files (.stp, .step) . This can perhaps also be done with some other 3D modeling tools with 3Ds MAx format support, but chances for this are slim.
