We have found 7 software records in our database eligible for .mdb to .accdb file format conversion.
The easiest way to convert mdb to accdb, i.e. conversion of different versions of MS Access databases (.mdb and.accdb files) from older format to newer one, would be to use latest Microsoft Access, because only these support both of these file types reliably. Access prior version 2007 did not use .accdb file and hence cannot save or open it and thus cannot be used to perform mdb to accdb database conversion.
You may also find some other 3rd party database converters that support Access formats or even dedicated Access conversion tools.
MDB
An mdb file extension is used by Microsoft Access database management system for its main database files. MDB format was replaced in later version of Microsoft Office by ACCDB format. Access mdb databases can usually be opened in or imported to most database management systems, such as dBase, Oracle etc.
ACCDB
An accdb file extension is used by Microsoft Access from version 2007 for its main database format. A previous binary format had mdb file extension instead. Access is one of the most used personal database management systems.
