We have found one software suitable in our database for this conversion.
Microsoft Excel can open Microsoft Access databases (for example older .mdf) and import the data so they can be saved in a form of a spreadsheet (.xls).
Except for that, some dedicated database converters like the Full Convert Enterprise should also support mdf to xls conversion, but using Excel seems like more convenient and cheaper way in order to convert mdf to xls.
MDF
An mdf file extension is used for a database file format for Microsoft SQL Server, relational database server, developed by Microsoft, with latest version being 2016.
XLS
Files with xls extension are best known as spreadsheets from Microsoft Excel. A spreadsheet is basically a grid of cells sorted in rows and columns. Each cell can contain text, numeric or formula data. Excel XLS spreadsheets can be opened in most other similar programs, such as OpenOffice.org Calc.
