Find a software converter able to convert mks files to ass files.
Unfortunately, we do not know about any tool that can directly convert the subtitles from .mks streams and save them as .ass (or any other) subtitle files, which is what mks to ass conversion is.
Nonetheless you should be able to extract the subtitles with the mkvtoolnix and then edit / convert them with standard subtitles software.
