Check out some options how mobi files might be converted to azw2 format.
As far as we know, it is not possible to convert mobi to azw2, because .azw2 files are not ebooks, but active content apps for Kindle.
You have to convert mobi to azw3 if you want to create an ebook compatible with Amazon Kindle. Although Kindle should open MOBI files just fine.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
This conversion entry was verified by us and conversion from mobi to azw2 was flagged as wrong or not possible.
Usually this happens when the conversion would try to convert different types of data between each other, such as audio to image, or it can't be done because incompatibility between programs, caused by closed file formats, very limited support or by other problems.
