There is a function called Audio Chord Wizard in the PG Band-in-a-Box software that should allow users to analyze simple audio files and produce a MGU file from them. It works with WAV, WMA, MP3, WMV, or CDA audio files but the results depends on the complexity of the audio. The more complex the less successful this operation will be and may require manual tweaking.
