Software that can be used for conversion of nbib file type to xls format.
Considering that .nbib files are specially structured text files and as such you can open these using any text editor. This means you can also import the text to Excel and save it as spreadsheet (.xls, .xlsx) , most likely with the structure kept intact. By doing so, you will essentially achieve nbib to xls conversion for example, but it might be possible citation managers that support PuBMED format won't most likely open Word files.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.

Files with nbib extension can be usually found as citations stored in the PubMED format.
XLS
Files with xls extension are best known as spreadsheets from Microsoft Excel. A spreadsheet is basically a grid of cells sorted in rows and columns. Each cell can contain text, numeric or formula data. Excel XLS spreadsheets can be opened in most other similar programs, such as OpenOffice.org Calc.
