Conversion of Adobe Pagemaker .pmd files to Microsoft Word .docx documents.

There doesn't seem to exist any software available that would be capable of direct file conversion of old Adobe Pagemaker documents (*.pmd) to Microsoft Word documents (*.docx).  The only way would be probably to get your hands on old Pagemaker and export your documents as PDFs, which could then be converted to DOCX via some pdf to docx converter, or simply by opening in the latest version of Microsoft Word.

If you are interested in texts, and not the layouts, then you could alternatively save it as RTF instead PDF. Old Adobe PageMaker does not support Microsoft Word formats. However it can export its own PMD format to RTF (Rich Text Format). These files can then be imported to Microsoft Word, or similar word processor and saved in DOCX format. Only the text will be converted though special effects from PageMaker will not be converted.

Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.
